The Allo Hope Foundation, Cumming City Center, LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, and the Luevano Family invite you to a special community Blood Drive on Saturday, June 20, in honor of Josie Anne.
Description:
Josie Anne Luevano’s life was cut short when her HDFN diagnosis was missed and she did not receive the blood transfusions she needed to survive. Each year, the Luevano’s honor Josie’s birthday with a blood drive, and are so proud to see her legacy help save lives. Josie’s little brother had the same condition, and thanks to 7 anonymous LifeSouth blood donors and hundres of plasma donors, he is a thriving toddler today, cured from HDFN.
Urgent Need for Blood Donors:
The American Red Cross has declared an emergency blood shortage, with the lowest number of donors in 20 years. The shortage can lead to delayed treatment and transfusions which can be fatal for babies with HDFN. Blood donors are needed now more than ever.
